8 days, 7 night(s) from only £1969 Per Person Per Week
A delightful collection of five traditional cave houses, converted into individually themed, luxurious suites, around an 18th century mansion. The complex is perched on a cliff overlooking the sea and the Calder at Firostefani, a 700 m scenic walk or quick taxi ride away from Fira Town. Each house has its own personality and characteristic collections of art such as ancient pottery, icons and antique candelabra combined with silk upholstery and linen bed coverings.
The House of the Sea has an ancient nautical theme; the House of Winds takes its name from the engravings of the ancient Tower of the Winds in Athens; The House of Portraits not surprisingly has a collection of portraits; the House of Porcelain a collection of valuable Minton and Royal Copenhagen plates and the House of Nureyev, favoured by honeymooners, has sketches of Nureyev from his appearances in Athens. Each house has either one or two spacious bedrooms (accommodating two to five persons) with living room and ensuite bathroom, minibar, CD and DVD players, direct dial telephone air-conditioning and safety deposit box. The views are superb and the only thing missing is a pool.
