The central part of mainland Greece is steeped in history with a long and eventful past. One of the major archaeological attractions in the area is the ancient sanctuary of Delphi, built on the slopes of Mt. Parnassos, overlooking the Gulf of Corinth. The famous Oracle at Delphi was one of the most important sources of sacred wisdom in the ancient world and people flocked from far and wide to consult the oracle and receive the prophecies of the God Apollo spoken through Pythia the Priestess. The site includes the ancient Temple of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Athena Provaia, a museum and the ancient stadium where the Pythium Games were staged.
A welcoming village hotel painted white with varnished pinewood, located on a quiet street only five minutes walk from the ruins of ancient Delphi.
